Serving the elderly and developmentally disabled all across GA
Altrus provides group and family model personal care homes throughout Georgia. In addition Altrus is also a CARF accredited DD Host Home provider. Since 1989, Altrus has remained committed to helping Georgians delay or avert more costly nursing home and institutional placements. Through Georgia’s Medicaid waiver programs, low income Georgians are provided with the opportunity to receive quality personal care home and host home placement. All services are monitored by Registered Nurses. All homes are licensed and regulated by the State of Georgia Healthcare Facility Regulation Division.
Our community-based services provide Georgians of all ages with the opportunity to receive quality care in an assisted living home environment. We serve in assisted living group model and assisted living family model home settings. This allows people to remain in the community longer and results in a better quality of life.
WE SURVIVED HURRICANE MATTHEW
A large number of Altrus host homes, residential care homes and personal care homes are located in the coastal Georgia area. Considering how stressful and difficult it is to prepare a family for evacuation, just imagine what it is like to plan for the evacuation of a home full of elderly or developmentally disabled individuals. The task is enormous, however our staff went above and beyond in their care and commitment to their residents during Hurricane Matthew. As a part of our annual meeting with our sister company, Coastal Home Care, these caregivers and staff were honored. Click on image below to see highlights of this event.
Our HIGHLIGHTED Personal Care Homes for January
These living arrangements are supported through Private Pay funding, Medicaid waiver programs such as CCSP, SOURCE, ICWP, COMP (developmentally disabled) waiver, the Veteran’s Administration and long term care insurance. Altrus can work with you to determine whether you or your family member may qualify for any of these options.
We are affiliated with the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (GACCP), Assisted Living Association of Georgia (ALAG), and LeadingAge Georgia.
